The Governors Awards is an annual event celebrating awards conferred by the Academy's Board of Governors.
The Academy commissioned portraits of the 2015 recipients — Spike Lee, Debbie Reynolds & Gena Rowlands to be used in promotional materials for the glittering event.
The portrait of Chris Rock, host of the Oscars 2016, was commissioned by The Academy as a gift for the host.
